Mike Shatter grew up in the honky tonk scene.

Writing from a point of view that is raw and from the heart, Mike Shatter’s lyrics intertwines stories that resonate his true past. Although he has strong country and bluegrass roots, Mike Shatter is no stranger to genres such as metal, hard rock, and blues.

As a child, in the womb actually, his parents traveled and played country. As a young man he took to the punk and metal scene as a drummer and guitarists. Growing up in small rural town made it extremely difficult to get out into the world, travel, and collaborate at the scale he desired. He played in local bands that play in the surrounding tri-state area until he decided to make his first record. Simueltaneously, he was also making bigger life decisions.

In 2010, he would come to a crossroads by deciding between accepting a record deal or joining the Marines. Thirteen years later he came back to his home, the Ohio Valley and is currently full steam ahead to his music career.
